Negative Prompts

Negative prompts are the opposite of prompts. They are things you don't want in your final image. These can range from additional characters, styles, and poses to smaller details such as artifacts, watermarks, and autographs. Below is an example image generated using the same prompt seed with and without negative prompts:
Negative Prompt:
semi-realistic, cgi, 3d, render, sketch, cartoon, drawing, anime, text, close up, cropped, out of frame, worst quality, low quality, jpeg artifacts, ugly, duplicate, morbid, mutilated, extra fingers, mutated hands, poorly drawn hands, poorly drawn face, mutation, deformed, blurry, bad anatomy, bad proportions, extra limbs, cloned face, disfigured, gross proportions, malformed limbs, missing arms, missing legs, extra arms, extra legs, fused fingers, too many fingers, long neck
Again, as evident from the example, using negative prompts greatly improve the quality of your final image. Much like how detail and quality prompts change according to the style and type of image, so do some details of negative prompts.
You might use "sketch, cartoon, drawing" as negative prompts while trying to generate a photorealistic image but use them in your main prompt when trying to generate a scene from a cartoon. However, there are almost universal negative prompts that you might want to integrate into your workflow.
